Edna Imade hits double-figure goals for Granada in loss to Real Madrid

Nigeria-eligible forward Edna Imade scored Granada’s consolation goal in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday.

Maelle Lakrar scored the first goal of the league encounter for the host in the 15th minute at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium, Madrid.

Imade equalized for Granada in the 27th minute to continue her goal-scoring form.

That was her sixth goal in six consecutive matches for Granada this season.

Signe Bruun restored Madrid’s lead in the hour mark while Eva Navarro sealed the win in the additional minutes of the second half.

Imade, who played the duration of the match, has scored 10 goals in the league for Granada after 14 games.

She is second on the goal scorers chart, four goals behind FC Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor.

Granada occupy the seventh position on the log with 19 points from 14 games.

They will welcome Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide’s Costa Adeje Tenerife in the next league game on January 18, 2025.
