Edna Imade scores again as Real Sociedad fall to Tenerife in Liga F clash

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria’s Edna Imade continued her fine goalscoring form in the Spanish Liga F on Saturday afternoon, but her effort wasn’t enough as Real Sociedad suffered a 2–1 home defeat to UD Tenerife.

The 24-year-old forward found the back of the net in the 35th minute, pulling Sociedad back into the contest after the visitors had taken a two-goal lead earlier in the first half.

Imade has now scored in back-to-back matches, taking her tally to two goals in four appearances this season — a strong start that highlights her growing influence in Sociedad’s attack.

Despite her strike, Sociedad couldn’t find an equalizer, leaving Tenerife to leave San Sebastián with all three points.

Imade, a Super Falcons prospect, will be hoping to maintain her form as Real Sociedad aim to bounce back in their next Liga F fixture.
