Ghanaian champions and Edo Queens opponents at the 2024 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, Hasaacas Ladies will be without one of their key players as they start their campaign on Sunday.

Hasaacas has been dealt a blow as Mukurama Abdulai is ruled out of the tournament with an injury.

Mukurama was a key player in Hasaacas successful bid to regain the Ghanaian league title.

The team will have to rely on other players to raise their game in a bid to reclaim the title.

It should be noted that Hasaacas Ladies were the first team to win the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers title with a 3-1 victory against Nigerian side, Rivers Angels in 2021.

They will face another Nigerian outfit, Edo Queens in the second match of the tournament on August 14, 2024.

Before that clash, an encounter with Etincelle (Burkina Faso) awaits the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League runners up on Sunday, August 11.

The Ghanaian side is staging a return to the competition since 2021 as Ampem Darkoa won the previous two editions of the league in 2022 and 2023.
