Egypt 2023: Ladan Bosso reiterates Nigeria target at U20 Africa Cup of Nations

Head coach of the Nigeria U20 team, Ladan Bosso assures that winning the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt remains his priority after claiming the WAFU B title in Niger Republic last May.
The seven-time champions will face hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal in the group stage of the competition and the Flying Eagles started the second and final phase of camping ahead of the tournament, with as many as 35 players officially invited to be a part of the camp in Abuja.
“We won the WAFU-B qualifiers in Niger Republic and it’s my wish that we go to the World Cup in Indonesia as the champions of Africa,” Bosso told reporters in Abuja.
“That aside, I want to make amends for the 2007 not-pleasant performance of the Flying Eagles. I want to improve on it by going all the way to win it.”
The U-20 AFCON will also serve as the qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup slated for Indonesia later in the year.
