Egypt U20 Afcon: NFF chieftain Aminu Kurfi tasks Nigeria U20 on total discipline

By Olu Dare

Chairman of NFF Task Force Committee on Age grade national teams of Nigeria Aminu Balele Kurfi has charged the Nigeria U20 squad to demonstrate total discipline as they begin preparations for the African Youth Championship in Egypt next year.

The administrator said that the players must prove that they are capable of wearing the national colours of Nigeria and take the opportunity to them seriously.

He assured the team that the NFF and the Task Force Committee will ensure that the team will be highly motivated to excel in Egypt and qualify for the FIFA U 20 World Cup to be hosted in Indonesia in June, 2023.

“The task force committee members are equal to the task of ensuring that Flying Eagles will not disappoint Nigeria. We want this team to make Nigerians happy and we need total disciple from the players, no excuses at all,” Kurfi told the players in Abuja.

“You must listen and play to the instructions of the coaches. All the players in the camp must be very disciplined. The task ahead is for this team to qualify for the FIFA U 20 World Cup in Indonesia.

“Super Eagles did not qualify for this World Cup in Qatar, it is painful, but NFF is determined that the Flying Eagles will put Nigeria football on the world map again with quality football in Egypt and hopefully in Indonesia.

“Whatever happened in Niger Republic is in the past. You are the champions of West Africa is different from African Youth Championship in Egypt. So, concentrate and endeavour to give your best and make Nigerians happy.”
