Elkanemi Warriors sign eight new players ahead of new NPFL season

Newly crowned Nigeria Cup champions, Elkanemi Warriors, have announced the signing of eight new players as they prepare for the upcoming football season.

The Borno Army, who triumphed over Abia Warriors to win the 2024 President Federation Cup, will represent Nigeria in the next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Under the guidance of Coach Aliyu Zubair, the team also secured a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following their successful playoff campaign.

Among the notable new signings are Henry Ndedi, Agbo Ekoi, and Clement Naantum, who have joined the Maiduguri club from Sporting Lagos. Mojereoluwa Suleiman and Sunday Ajibola were acquired from Lobi Stars.

Additionally, Rahman Olanrewaju from Kwara United, Mohammed Aminu from Kano Pillars, and Bilal Yakubu from Doma United have also joined the President Federation Cup winners.

Elkanemi Warriors are gearing up for their continental campaign and aim to make a significant impact upon their return to Nigeria’s top-flight league. The Borno Army also hopes to successfully defend their President Federation Cup title in the upcoming season.
