English FA Cup: Kelechi Iheanacho nears top 10 all-time goalscorer

Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning goal for Leicester City on Saturday as his side edged Gillingham 1-0 to progress to the next round of the oldest Cup in the world.
The goal increased Iheanacho’s all-time FA Cup goal tally to 16. The 16 goals ensured that the former Manchester City player is Africa’s top goal scorer in the English FA Cup.
He is four goals ahead of Ivorian forward, Didier Drogba with 12 goals followed another Nigerian forward, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has scored a total number of 10 FA Cup goals.
Other African players in the top nine goal scorers chart in the FA Cup include; Salomon Kalou (eight goals), Saido Berahino (eight goals), Nwankwo Kanu (eight goals), Frederick Kanoute (seven goals), Riyad Mahrez (six goals), and Yaya Toure (six goals).
With his 16 goals, Iheanacho has scored more FA Cup goals than the likes of Steven Gerrard, Peter Beardsley, Nicolas Anelka, and Andy Cole. He needs two more goals to enter the top 10 list of FA Cup all-time goal scorers.
Ian Rush with 40 goals is FA Cup all-time goal scorer ahead of the likes of Frank Lampard, Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Jermain Defoe, Sergio Aguero, and Mark Hughes.
