Fidelis Ilechukwu, Technical Adviser of the newly crowned Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enugu Rangers, has promised fans and supporters of the club continued success. Ilechukwu led the Flying Antelopes to clinch the NPFL title in the recently concluded season, ending an eight-year wait for another league triumph.
Rangers finished the 2023/24 season on a high note with a 2-1 victory over Gombe United on Sunday, accumulating a total of 70 points.
Ilechukwu, unable to hide his emotions, expressed his joy and optimism for the future, stating, “This is a great day for all of us in Rangers and we give God the glory. This is a victory for the government and people of Enugu State who supported us through thick and thin till we got to where we are today as champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League.”
Looking ahead, Ilechukwu added, “We hope to get a few legs to add to this team to challenge for both domestic and continental honours next season effectively.”
With this victory, the Enugu-based club will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next season, aiming to make a significant impact on the continental stage.
