Enyimba FC Set to Resume for 2025/26 Season on June 20th

Enyimba Football Club has officially announced Friday, June 20th, 2025 as the resumption date for the 2025/26 football season.

This comes in preparation for the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, scheduled to kick off on August 22nd, 2025.

Speaking to Enyimba Media, the club’s Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, confirmed that all returning and newly signed players are expected to report for duty on the stated date.

“All players—both existing squad members and new signings—are hereby directed to resume on June 20th without fail,” Ekwueme stated.

“Other relevant club personnel are also expected to comply accordingly.”

Pre-season activities will commence promptly at 7:30 AM at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

The People’s Elephant didn’t qualify for any continental tournament and will focus on returning there at the end of the 2025/26 season.

They remain Nigeria’s sole winner of the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004.
