Enyimba hails Ojo Olorunleke over Super Eagles invitation against Sao Tome and Principe

Enyimba have celebrated their captain, Ojo Olorunleke over his recent invitation to the country’s senior national team for their 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Nigeria will host the Central African nation on September 10 in the final qualifying game at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo with just a draw needed to finish as Group A leaders.
Enyimba who are the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions, and also the country’s sole representative at the upcoming inaugural African Football League, (AFL) took to their official X (formerly Twitter) page to congratulate Olorunleke after he was included the Jose Peseiro’s list for the Uyo encounter on Monday.
“Another @NG Super Eagles call up for Ojo Congratulations skipper,” the club’s tweet reads.
Olorunleke was also part of the Super Eagles’ team for the AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone on June 18 which ended 3-2 over the Leone Stars.
The Portuguese coach has qualified the Super Eagles for the tournament with a game to spare.

The biennial competition will be held in Ivory Coast in from January 13 to February 11 2024.
