Enyimba welcomes Finidi, Olorunleke back from silver-winning AFCON 2023 outing

Enyimba’s duo of Coach George Finidi and Captain, Ojo Olorunleke have returned to the club following their participation for Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the just concluded African Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament.

They were part of Nigeria’s contingent that finished as runners up at the AFCON tournament held in Ivory Coast.

Olorunleke was Super Eagles’ third choice goalkeeper at the competition with Stanley Nwabali and Francis Uzoho the two other goalkeepers in the team.

They joined the Peoples Elephant training session on Wednesday at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

Finidi is expected to lead Enyimba for their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Matchday 21 fixture against Bendel Insurance on Sunday while Olorunleke is also hopeful to be part of the traveling contingent.

Enyimba currently occupy third position in the  NPFL table with 35 points.
