Enyimba’s Victor Mbaoma not surprised with big victory over Gombe United

Enyimba scoring sensation, Victor Mbaoma feels his side’s 4-0 bashing of Gombe United did not come as surprise.

The People’s Elephants took their visitors to cleaners in the Matchday 22 of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL encounter decided in Aba on Thursday.

Mbaoma scored two of the goals in the one sided encounter with the other goals coming from Uche Collins and Imot Obot.

The bulky striker who has now scored 10 goal in 19 appearances for Enyimba leading them to top of the log is positive of the team retaining the position till end of the season.

“It was expected because before the game we all believed that we are going to score more than three goals in the game,” he told the club’s media.

“Scoring my first brace of the season makes me really happy.

We are so excited and it’s good to see Enyimba at the top of the table. We will stay consistent henceforth to remain in the position.

The People’s Elephants will be guest to Akwa United on Sunday for their next Matchday in Uyo.
