By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward, Alex Iwobi provided an assist for Fulham during a 1-1 draw with Tottenham in the English Premier League (EPL) clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London on Sunday.

After a goalless first half, it was the host that went ahead in the 54th minute as Brennan Johnson converted from Timo Werner’s assist.

Fulham leveled matters in the London Derby when Alex Iwobi set up Tom Cairney for the equalizer in the 67th minute.

Cairney showed perfect technique and produced a first-time effort from just outside the box that went inside the right post.

Fulham were reduced to ten players after Cairney who scored was red carded after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) changed his initial yellow card to red from a challenge on opponent.

Iwobi, who has now scored three goals with three assists for Fulham in the EPL this season, saw 86 minutes of action and was replaced by Ryan Sessegnon.

His compatriot, Calvin Bassey featured for full 90 minutes for Fulham during the game.

Fulham occupy the 10th position on the log with 19 points after 13 games.

They will next face Brighton and Hove Albion in another EPL match on December 5, 2024.
