EPL: Massive blow for Leicester City as Ndidi faces weeks on sideline with injury

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The Super Eagles’ vice-captain was forced to leave the field during Leicester’s 2-2 draw at home against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

As a result, Ndidi will miss Leicester’s upcoming trip to Newcastle United on Saturday.

“He has a hamstring injury, so he’s not available for Saturday’s game,” Van Nistelrooy said in a statement on the club’s official website. “We’re monitoring his recovery and how he responds to treatment, but it looks like it will be at least a couple of weeks.”

The 27-year-old has made 15 league appearances for Leicester this season, and his absence is a significant blow for the Foxes as they aim to maintain their momentum in the Premier League.
