Expect explosive Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six – Davidson Owumi

Independent Management Committee (IMC) Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi has revealed that the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoffs will be an explosive and entertaining competition.
The NPFL Super Six is scheduled to begin on Saturday June 2 in Lagos, where Bendel Insurance, Remo Stars, Enyimba, Rivers United, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars will compete for the Nigerian title and continental places.
The former Enugu Rangers chairman told fans to expect a superb tournament, while promising there will be fair officiating as the best referees have been penciled down to officiate the playoffs,
“The championship playoff I would like to call it, the team’s that are here, they are here on merit and that’s to say you expect the very best of the league here beginning on Saturday,” Owumi told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“We expect a very explosive competition and the better side will take the day. We have asked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to give us the very best of the domestic league and the list they have given us so far is very very good and they should be able to represent themselves properly because it’s (NPFL Super Six) going to be live on TV where everyone will be watching.
“So I think they will give their very best to make it worthwhile. If you pick the best three from each group, what’s expected to come out of it is a superb thing. You expect to see the best of the domestic league come Saturday.”
The NPFL Super Six will start on the third of June and end on June 11.
All matches are to be played at the historic Mobolaji Johnson Arena formerly known as Onikan stadium, Lagos.
