Fawaz Abdullahi: Nigerian midfielder joins top Cyprus club, APOEL Nicosia

Cyprus top division club, APOEL Nicosia has completed the signing of former Nigerian youth international, Fawaz Abdullahi ahead of new football season.
Abdullahi who was part of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets that featured in the 2019 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania join Nicosia from fellow Cypriot side, Doxa Katokopia
The initial deal will see him be at the club till 2026 with an option to renew it for a year.
He made 25 appearances for Doxa Katokopia in the last football season.
Abdullahi is expected to be registered on APOEL’s B team next season.
The club announced his arrival on their website on Saturday.
“APOEL FOOTBALL (PUBLIC) LTD announces the conclusion of an agreement with the footballer Fawaz Abdullahi,” reads the statement.”
“We welcome him to APOEL and wish him good health and with hard work he will help the team achieve its goals.”
