Felipe Melo, the former Brazil international, has extended his congratulations and best wishes to Victor Osimhen after the Nigerian striker completed his move to Galatasaray.
Osimhen joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan deal, concluding a tumultuous transfer window that saw him linked with top European clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and PSG.
Despite a nearly completed move to Chelsea on deadline day, which fell through due to the Blues’ inability to meet the full terms of the transfer, Osimhen has received a warm welcome from fans and football personalities alike since arriving at Galatasaray.
Melo, who enjoyed a successful four-year stint with Galatasaray and is renowned for his achievements in Turkish football, took to Instagram to celebrate Osimhen’s arrival.
In his post, Melo wrote: “God bless you in the best club in Turkey,” acknowledging the significance of Osimhen’s move to one of the most successful clubs in Turkish football history.
During his time at Galatasaray, Melo became the most decorated Brazilian player in Turkish domestic competitions, winning a total of seven cups, including Süper Lig titles, Turkish Cups, and Turkish Super Cups.
His message reflects the high regard in which Galatasaray is held and the anticipation surrounding Osimhen’s contributions to the team.
