Fenerbahçe Unveil Flourish Sabastine

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigerian forward Flourish Sebastian Chioma, popularly known as Flourish Sabastine, has officially signed with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, continuing her professional journey in the Turkish Women’s Super Lig.

The talented attacker makes the move to Fenerbahçe from Galatasaray. Sje also played in France with Stade de Reims where she played during the 2023/24 season.

Before her European stint, Sabastine made her mark in Nigeria with Bayelsa Queens, contributing to the club’s domestic and continental successes.

Sabastine joined Bayelsa Queens ahead of the 2020/21 season from Unnich FA, and was a crucial member of the squad that won the 2021/22 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership in Benin City.

She also played a key role in the club’s triumph at the WAFU-B Championship and their impressive third-place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League — Nigeria’s best outing in the competition to date.

On the international stage, she has represented Nigeria’s U-20 team at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in both 2022 and 2024, showcasing her talent on the global stage.

Now set for a new challenge with Fenerbahçe, Sabastine brings pace, skill, and attacking depth to a side aiming for domestic and European success.
