Fenerbahce’s Osayi Samuel confident of Turkish title push despite Galatasaray lead

By Dayo Awoniyi

Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi Samuel remains confident that his side can win the Turkish Super Lig title, despite trailing league leaders Galatasaray by three points with seven matches remaining.

Speaking after Fenerbahce’s 3-1 victory over Sivasspor, Osayi Samuel urged his teammates to maintain focus for the run-in.

“We need to focus on ourselves. We have seven important matches. I think we will be champions if we win all the matches,” he said.

Galatasaray, who sit top of the table, recently knocked Fenerbahce out of the Turkish Cup—thanks in part to goals from Osayi Samuel’s Super Eagles teammate, Victor Osimhen.

Despite that setback, Osayi Samuel emphasized the importance of taking it one game at a time.

“Every match we play is a final. Now we will focus on the next match,” he added.

Fenerbahce continue their title chase as the Super Lig season enters its decisive phase.
