Enugu Rangers’ head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has outlined his strategies for achieving success in the 2024 CAF Champions League.
The recent draw by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has paired the Flying Antelopes against US Zilimadjou from Comoros in the preliminary round of the prestigious competition.
Ilechukwu emphasized the importance of not underestimating any team in the tournament and expressed his team’s readiness to face their opponents with full force.
“No team is a small team on the continent anymore,” Ilechukwu stated, as quoted by Enugu Rangers’ official channels.
“We respect our opponent in the Total Energies CAF Champions League 2024/2025 preliminary round, US Zilimadjou of Comoros. We shall give our preparations ahead of the encounter all the attention it deserves.”
The former Plateau United coach outlined the team’s priority to make a significant impact in the competition, acknowledging the ongoing process of building a strong squad.
“Don’t forget that we are still building this team, and we must be up and doing to ensure that we make an impact in the continental championship.”
