FIFA U20 World Cup: Jose Peseiro proud of Nigeria despite elimination

Head coach of the Nigeria senior men’s national team, Jose Peseiro has showered praise on the U20 team despite their elimination from the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Before their elimination from the tournament, the Flying Eagles recorded famous wins, beginning with a 2-0 win against Italy in the group stage and similar result over hosts Argentina in the Round of 16.
However, they suffered a narrow 1-0 quarterfinal defeat against South Korea after extra time to miss out on a place in the semi-finals no thanks to 95th-minute header from Choi Seok-Hyun.
And Peseiro has hailed Ladan Bosso’s side, urging them to be proud of their performance.
“Heads up, Flying Eagles!” Peseiro wrote on Twitter.
“What you have shown in this world cup makes Nigerian people proud. They fought and honored to the end and earned a place among the top 8 teams in the World.“
