FIFA U20 World Cup: Ladan Bosso hints about Nigeria strategy for Brazil showdown
By Wale Mustapha
Head coach of Nigeria’s U20 men’s national team, Ladan Bosso has disclosed strategies and plans on how his team will prosecute their FIFA U20 World Cup last group game against Brazil on Saturday.
The Flying Eagles as Nigeria’s U20 men are called defeated Italy on Wednesday to take one step closer to knockout stages making it two wins from two games.
Two second half goals from Salem Fago and Jude Sunday gave the Bosso team a commanding win over the Azurris in Mendoza.
While dedicating the win to all Nigerians, the former Abia Warriors’ gaffer insists there is still room to improve ahead of the group final showdown with the young Selecaos.
“We have seen Brazil with what they can do and we came here with enough players, I think those players that didn’t play the first two games will be allowed to play against Brazil, that’s the way to go,” Bosso told CompleteSports.
“With what we have seen so far, we played the first match against a lowly Dominican, we saw what we did and how the players approached it, nevertheless it was an expected end and with this game as well.
“I think Nigerians should expect a better performance from these boys going forward.
“I appreciate the efforts of everybody, the players, the technical crew and all stakeholders of Nigerian football, this victory is not for Coach Bosso. is for Nigerians at large.”
