FIFA U20 World Cup: Nigeria land in Santiago del Estero for Korea Republic clash

The Nigerian U20 men’s national team has arrived in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, for their quarter-final match against the Korea Republic in the FIFA U20 World Cup.
After a resounding 2-0 victory over the hosts at Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, the team touched down Santiago Del Estero on Friday.
Nigeria, who are two-time silver medalists and seven-time African champions, are now considered favorites to win the tournament after their impressive defeat of Argentina.
Although Korea remains unbeaten in the competition after a narrow 3-2 round of 16 victory over Ecuador, the Asians finished second in Group F behind Gambia.
The last 16 clash against the Argentines brought out the best in Bosso’s men as two second-half goals made the difference over a team tipped to win the tournament.
The quarter-final match between Nigeria and Korea is set to take place at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Nigeria time.
The winner of Korea vs Nigeria game will face either Italy or Colombia for a place in the semi-final.
