FIFA U20 World Cup: Victor Eletu shares useful tips for Nigeria to beat Italy

AC Milan and Nigerian youngster, Victor Eletu, has dropped tips to his teammates on how to defeat Italy in Mendosa, Argentina on Wednesday.

Nigeria will face Italy in their second group match for a place in the Round of 16 of the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Italy currently sit atop Group D with three points, having scored more goals than their Nigerian counterparts after both teams emerged victorious in their opening games.

While Nigeria conceded first against the Dominican Republic, Italy avoid losing an early 3-0 lead as they were under siege from Brazil late in the second half.

However, according to Eletu who plight his trade in Italy has revealed what it will take for Flying Eagles to defeat the Italians.

The 18-year-old made a late substitute appearance in Sunday’s triumph and will hope to get a starting feature against his Italian mates.

The youngster noted that most of the Italian players have already featured for their respective senior clubs as they have gathered experience for a competitive tournament as this.

“We must play as a team if we are to defeat them,” Eletu remarked.

The highly anticipated match will kick off tomorrow at 7 pm local time in Nigeria, with  football enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the clash between these two talented rich nations as they vie for victory and the opportunity to progress further in the U20 World Cup.

Nigeria are second on the Group D standings, with Italy as leaders followed by, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic in the third and fourth spots respectively.
