FIFA U20 World Cup: Walter Benitez shifts Dominican attention to Nigeria game

Walter Benitez, Sporting Director of Dominican Republic has asked his country’s U20 side to direct their focus to the opening match of FIFA U20 World Cup opening against Nigeria.
The CONCACAF football nation are paired with the Flying Eagles of Nigeria alongside Brazil and Italy for the mundial and Dominican Republic lost 4-0 in their last preparatory match against host nation, Argentina on Friday.
Benitez who described the result as disappointing noted that the lapses noticed would his young side to get better against Nigeria.
“We are working based on what we are going to do against Nigeria,” manager told media.
“Even though Argentina is a rival with a very high level that has players who play in the first division in various European leagues and in the Argentine league itself, I think we did the right thing in making those changes.”
The FIFA U20 men’s World Cup will kickoff on Saturday 20th of May and will end on June 11.
