Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to return for Lazio against Lecce

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is set to return to action for Italian Serie A side Lazio in their upcoming match against Lecce.

The 24-year-old Super Eagles midfielder has recently resumed training following an injury sustained during the Derby della Capitale defeat to AS Roma in September, which had kept him sidelined for several months.

Dele-Bashiru’s recovery and performance in training have impressed Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri, who is expected to include him in the squad for the clash against Lecce.

The midfielder has made four league appearances for Lazio this season, and his return could also boost his chances of being named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
