Five Super Falcons Named in IFFHS CAF Women’s Team of 2025

Five players from Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, have been named in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) CAF Women’s Team of 2025.

The recognition follows Nigeria’s impressive campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where the Super Falcons emerged champions.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Michelle Alozie and Ashleigh Plumptre, captain Rasheedat Ajibade, and midfielder Christy Ucheibe all made the prestigious IFFHS selection, underlining Nigeria’s dominance on the continent.

Morocco and South Africa each have two representatives in the team. Bambani Mbane and Lebohang Ramalepe were selected from South Africa, while Africa’s Best Player Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy represent host nation Morocco.

Rounding off the squad are Temwa Chawinga of Malawi and Barbra Banda of Zambia, both of whom enjoyed outstanding individual performances during the year.

Nigeria’s strong presence in the IFFHS CAF Women’s Team of 2025 further cements the Super Falcons’ status as a powerhouse of women’s football in Africa.
