By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria U-17 women’s national team paid a heartwarming visit to the Nana Berry Orphanage & Children’s Home in Nyanya, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Tuesday.

Led by team captain Shakirat Moshood, a few selected players took time to share gifts, love, and words of encouragement with the children as part of their pre-departure community engagement.

Earlier in the day, the team held their final training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, focusing on intense physical drills and recovery exercises to fine-tune preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Flamingos are scheduled to depart Nigeria early Wednesday morning via Royal Air Maroc, with their flight expected to arrive in Casablanca by 9am local time.
