Florence Omagbemi, 36 Lion product Peter Olayinka bag top sports awards in U.S

African Women’s Cup of Nations, AWCON winning coach with Super Falcons, Florence Omagbemi and Super Eagles striker, Peter Olayinka were among top sports personalities that were recognized with special awards at the Old School Night/Recognition Awards 4.0 in Arlington, Texas, United States.

The glamorous event that was graced by top stars in various fields of endeavor was organized by 11th Media Global Concept, with Omagbemi was recognised as women’s football living legend at the world.

She led the Super Falcons for over a decade as captain, also guided the team to list the AWCON title held in Cameroun in 2016, becoming the first woman to win the tournament as player and coach.

Olayinka who was one of the products of 36 Lion also won the outstanding striker award as justification for his outstanding performance for his Czech Republic club, Slavia Praha, in the league and on the continent.

Another Nigerian sports star to be recognized at the award was Sprinter, Divine Oduduru as the King of the Tracks. UK-based FIFA licensed intermediary, Olubusola Akinyemi, was present to receive his award.

Nollywood actresses, Bukky Fagbuyi and Bukky Wright, were also honoured at the occasion.
