Flying Eagles thrash Morak FC in WAFU-B preparatory friendly

Nigeria U-20 men’s national team thrashed Morak FC 6-0 in a friendly match that took place in Abuja on Wednesday.
The visitors from Warri, Delta state proved stubborn in the first half as the Flying Eagles were only able to score a goal.
In the second half, the two-time World Cup finalist scored five goals to seal a 6-0 win.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side is using the game to prepare for the forthcoming West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-20 Championship in Togo.
The tournament serves as Qualifiers for the next U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team will face Burkina Faso and Cote D’Ivoire in Group B at the tournament.
Host, Togo, Niger Republic, Ghana, and Benin Republic are in Group B.
After winning the last edition two years ago, the Flying Eagles hope to continue dominance in the zone.
The 2024 WAFU-B U-20 Championship will start on October 17, 2024, in Togo.
