Former AFCON Champion Shares Heartfelt Farewell Note to Enyimba

Brown Ideye, a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Champion with the Super Eagles, has shared a heartfelt farewell note to Enyimba FC.

Having joined the People’s Elephant in the 2024/25 season, Ideye has now decided to part ways with the Aba giants.

In his farewell note, Ideye expressed his gratitude to the management, players, and fans of the club for the chance to represent them throughout the season.

“To the chairman, staff, my teammates, and fans of Enyimba FC, I am thankful for the incredible journey. It has been a privilege to don the jersey and play for one of the most prominent and esteemed football clubs in Nigeria and Africa.

“As I embark on a new chapter, I cherish the wonderful memories we built together both on and off the field, and I am thankful for the love, respect, and support you all extended to me from the very beginning. This club will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The People’s Elephant was Ideye’s 13th club since starting with Bayelsa United in 2006.

Ocean Boys, Neuchatel Xamax, Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv, Westbromwich Albion, Olympiakos, Tiajin Teda, Malaga, Aris, Goztepe, and Al-Yarmouk are his former teams.
