Francisca Ordega makes losing debut in Saudi Arabia

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

A few hours after her unveiling by the Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League side, Nigeria forward Francisca Ordega made her full debut for the Asian side.

It wasn’t a pleasant debut as her new side suffered a 2-0 loss to Al Ula on Friday.

Two goals in the first half sealed victory for the host.

Cote d’Ivoire player Ange N’Guessan scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute of play.

Selma Kapetanovic doubled the lead six minutes after the half-hour mark.

Oedega played the duration of the game alongside her compatriot and Al Ittihad captain, Ashleigh Plumptre.

Al Ittihad occupies the seventh position on the league table with 15 points from 12 games.

They will host fifth-placed Al Hilal on February 1, 2025, in their next league encounter.
