Frank McAvennie urges West Ham to sign Iheanacho as managerial changes loom

Former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie has suggested that Nigerian winger Kelechi Iheanacho would be a valuable addition to the Hammers’ squad.
Iheanacho is currently without a club after leaving Leicester City last month.
The Nigeria international spent seven years with the Foxes, scoring 35 goals in 137 league appearances for the Premier League side.
McAvennie praised Iheanacho, stating, “I like Iheanacho. I think he’s a great player. Oh my god, on a free transfer, I’d take him. It’s a no-brainer for me, though I’m not sure who this new manager will want.”
The Hammers’ new manager, Julen Lopetegui, is expected to be busy in the transfer market to strengthen the team for next season’s challenges.
