Frank Onyeka has reflected on Coventry City F.C.’s impressive 2–0 away victory over West Bromwich Albion F.C., reports Completesports.com.
Frank Lampard’s side claimed all three points at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon courtesy of goals from Ephron Mason-Clark and Jack Rudoni.
Onyeka delivered a commanding display in midfield and was deservedly named Man of the Match as the Sky Blues maintained top spot on the Championship table following the win.
The Nigerian international described the result as a significant boost for the team.
“It’s really nice, I like it, we just keep going. It’s a great win away from home,” Onyeka told Sky Sports.
“I know it’s quite difficult, but it’s all about winning. I’m happy that we got the win today and also the last game.”
Onyeka also highlighted Coventry’s disciplined defensive structure as crucial to securing the victory.
“I mean, we know that especially in the first half when they tried to break us down, but we just decided to stay in the middle block. Don’t give them anything. I think that’s what helped us in the second half,” he added.
The result further strengthens Coventry City’s promotion push as they continue their strong run in the Championship.
