Fun facts: What you don’t know about Nigeria’s Christy Ucheibe

One of the engine room of the Nigeria women’s national team in recent years, Christy Ucheibe is one of the players making her maiden appearance at the 203 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
She actually played her first FIFA Women’s World Cup match when the Super Falcons played out a 0-0 draw with Olympic champions, Canada.
From representing the country at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2018 (in France) alongside the likes of Gift Monday, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Chiamaka Nnadozie, the SL Benfica midfielder revealed that featuring at the Women’s World Cup was a dream she promised her late mother after the 0-0 draw against Canada.
