Gbenga Ogunbote vows to fight for continental spot despite 3SC’s slump

By Dayo Awoniyi

Shooting Stars Sports Club’s (3SC) Technical Adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has vowed to continue fighting for a continental ticket despite a recent dip in form.

The Oluyole Warriors dropped to sixth place in the Nigerian Premier League standings following a 2-0 defeat to Akwa United in Uyo on matchday 29.

Despite this setback, Ogunbote remains optimistic about his team’s chances. He attributed the loss to Akwa United to “careless moments” in the second half but promised to address the issues and steer the team back to winning form.

“We have nine matches left to decide our fate. We’ve gone seven games without a win, but we will keep fighting until the very end,” Ogunbote told media.

With crucial games remaining, Ogunbote is determined to guide Shooting Stars to secure a continental qualification spot.
