By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Remo Stars have unveiled two players as the team prepares to consolidate their position in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership for the second stanza.

The Sky Blue Stars acquired the services of Ogunfuwa Omotoke and Eberechukwu Oleka on Sunday.

“Ogunfuwa OmotokešŸ¤Oleka Eberechukwu.
Both have put pen to paper with the sky blue ladies ahead of the #NWFL25 second stanza.” The club posted.

Ogunfuwa joined the Ikenne-Remo-based side from fellow NWFL Premiership outfit Dannaz Ladies.

She scored two goals for the Cedars during the first stanza of this season’s campaign.

Oleka, on the other hand, previously played for Osun Babes at the 2024 NWFL Championship.

Remo Stars Ladies will start the second stanza of the league against Nasarawa Amazons in Lafia on March 19, 2025.

This will be followed by games against Confluence Queens, Ekiti Queens, Edo Queens, Heartland Queens, Abia Angels, and Dannaz Ladies to complete the regular season with the aim of qualifying for the season-ending NWFL Premiership Super Six Playoffs.

The Wemimo Mathew’s side occupy the top of Group A with 19 points after seven games.

They are one of four unbeaten teams in the league alongside Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Edo Queens.

Ahead of the second stanza, the team has the highest points of the four unbeaten teams and win percentage.
