Nigeria international Gift Monday helped her Spanish top flight side, Costa Adeje Tenerife to play out a 1-1 draw in the penultimate match of the 2023/2024 season on Sunday.

From the kick off, Eibar broke the deadlock as a seemingly cross by Eider Arana beat Tenerife goalkeeper who miscalculated a simple cross.

The goal opened up the game with the host forcing the visiting goalkeeper to double saves.

In the 28th minute, they finally got the leveler as Gift’s initial strike was saved before converting the rebound.

The two goalkeepers at both ends brought their top form into play with numerous saves to prevent a loss with the game ending in 1-1 stalemate.

Monday played the duration of the match as she scored her sixth goal in 27 league games for her team. The former Robo Queens captain, had also bagged an assist this season.

Her compatriot, Rinsola Babajide was not dressed for the match as the Super Falcons forward took to her X handle to react after scoring her sixth goal.
