Rumour Mills: Saudi club, Al Ahli ready to trigger Victor Osimhen’s release clause

Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli are reportedly preparing a significant financial package to activate the release clause of Nigeria and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Despite signing a new deal with Napoli last December, the Super Eagles forward has expressed a desire to leave the Italian club this summer.

The release clause in Osimhen’s contract is rumored to be in the range of €120-£130 million.

Italian sources indicate that while Al Ahli are ready to meet this release clause, they have yet to persuade Osimhen to accept the move. The 25-year-old previously turned down a transfer to another Saudi club, Al Hilal, last summer.

Osimhen has also been consistently linked with European giants Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
