Gift Orban is bound to score 25 goals, says Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck

Gent coach, Hein Vanhaezebrouck believes Gift Orban is bound to score goals after seeing the fascinating form of the forward in the Belgian Jupiler league.

Orban has registered nine goals for Gent this season, with four goals in Gent 6-2 crushing of Zulte-Waregem.

And the Gent manager is certain that Orban can deliver 25 goals, stressing that the Nigerian shine with ease in any position he finds himself.

“Last season he made 22 appearances across all competitions in Norway,” Vanhaezebrouck said.

“If you let him start the season, he is a guarantee of 20, 25 goals across all competitions. Finishing is fun for him. Right, left, he doesn’t care.”

Gent will be banking on the Nigeria forward to replicate his form in front of goal in their next match when they visit Turkey to face İstanbul Başakşehir in the Europa Conference round of 16 tie.

The Buffalos will host 14th place Eupen in the 20,175 capacity Ghelamco Arena Ghent on Sunday 19th of March 2023 as Gent are placed fifth in the Belgian Pro League with 48 points from 29 matches.
