Super Eagles vice-captain Kenneth Omeruo has expressed his relief and excitement at being back in training following a lengthy injury layoff.
The experienced defender had been sidelined since October after sustaining an injury during Kasimpasa’s 3-3 draw against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig, where he played for an hour before being forced off.
Taking to social media to share his joy, Omeruo reflected on the challenges of the past few months, expressing his eagerness to return to action and contribute to his club.
“It’s been a difficult few months. Glad to be running again,” Omeruo wrote on his X handle.
“Can’t wait to start helping my team again, I have missed it. #unclek #offthepitch.”
Omeruo has made five league appearances for Kasimpasa in the current season, and his return to fitness will be a welcome boost for the Turkish side as they look to build on their campaign.
