Godspower Aniefiok extends ES Hammam Sousse winning streak with debut goal

Nigeria striker Godspower Aniefiok scored on his debut for ES Hammam Sousse in their 2-1 comeback Tunisian Premier League win over Stade Tunisien.

Aniefiok joined the Tunisian outfit from former Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United few days ago and the former Nigeria U23 midfielder wasted no time to hit the ground running on his debut at the Stade Bou Ali Lahouar, helping Hammam Sousse continued in their rich vien of incredible matchwinning form.

Both sides canceled each other out in the first half that witnessed end-to-end stuff plus many goalscoring opportunites but no breakthroughs as the contest ended in a barren stalemate.

After the restart, Stade Tunisien broke the deadlock to establish a lead with just seven minutes into in the second half when Dominique Mendy latched on to loose ball inside the six-yard box.

The goal celebration, however was short lived for the visitors as Hammam-Sousse new Nigerian boy, Aniefiok restored parity for the hosts six minutes after.

Hammam-Sousse would then shoot themselves to the lead in the 70th minute as Chamseddine Eezzine headed home from crowded defense.  Stade Tunisien made a late surge for an equalizer but the hosts did well to protect the lead and claim the three points.

Following the triumph, Hammam-Sousse have then moved to fourth on the log with 10 points from eight games.
