Godwin Obaje elated after ending NPFL goal drought with Enugu Rangers

Enugu Rangers’ striker, Godwin Obaje heaped a sigh of relief after scoring his first goal of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season on Sunday.

Obaje was on scoresheet for the first time this season in the Flying Antelopes’ 1-1 draw at Bayelsa United in their last match of the first round.

The former Wikki Tourists and Ifeanyi Ubah forward, who won league top scorer award in 2018 is confident of registering more goals when the league resumes for the second stanza.

“I feel happy to have finally scored this season, it gave us an important point, we played against a very determined side as we hope of snatching the maximum points against Bayelsa United,” Obaje told Daily Post.

“I hope to score more goals this season. I am counting on my teammates to help me achieve this objective.”
