Godwin Odibo confident in Sporting Lagos’ chances ahead of crucial NPFL clash
Midfielder Godwin Odibo has expressed optimism about Sporting Lagos’ chances of securing a vital win in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) final day clash against Shooting Stars.
The “Noisy Lagosians” face a must-win situation to enhance their prospects of avoiding relegation from the Nigerian topflight.
Sporting Lagos, led by Abdullahi Biffo, recently triumphed over Enyimba FC with a 2-1 victory in their final home match, where Odibo netted the decisive goal.
Despite the challenges faced this season, Odibo believes in the team’s spirit and commitment to achieve an unexpected positive outcome in Ibadan.
“Nothing is impossible. We are going all out against Shooting Stars, and I believe that God will crown our efforts,” Odibo shared in an interview with BraceRadio.
“We know it won’t be an easy game because they [Shooting Stars] are aiming for continental qualification, but we are determined to give it our all and come out victorious.”
The crucial match is scheduled to take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday at 4 pm.
