Gombe United has vowed to bounce back stronger in the second half of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season after a challenging first half that saw them finish at the bottom of Group B.
The Abeokuta-based side managed only two victories, one draw, and seven defeats in the opening stanza, culminating in a 1-0 loss to Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC in their final match of the first half, played in Ilorin on Saturday.
Despite the tough results, head coach Festus Allen and the team are determined to improve in the second half of the season.
“The first half of the season is complete. We’ll be back stronger in the second stanza. Thank you for your support,” the club wrote on their official Facebook page.
The second half of the NNL season is set to begin later this month, and Gombe United will be looking to make a strong comeback.
