Greek powerhouse, Panathinaikos has entered the competition to sign Nigeria and Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho is eager to leave Sevilla this month due to a lack of regular playing time at the club.

The Nigerian international has also been linked with a return to England, with Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Ipswich Town reportedly showing interest in acquiring him.

According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Panathinaikos has already reached out to Sevilla regarding the player.

Sevilla is open to letting the forward leave on loan this month, and discussions about a permanent transfer have also taken place.

So far this season, Iheanacho has netted three goals in 11 appearances across all competitions for Garcia Pimienta’s team.

The 28-year-old joined the Rojiblancos on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Leicester City.

He scored five goals with an assist to help the Foxes win the English Championship staging a return to the English Premier League.

He previously played for Manchester City before moving to Leicester City FC.
