Nigeria midfielder Halimatu Ayinde has completed a move to Swedish Damallsvenskan champions BK Häcken, marking a new chapter in her club career.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder joined the Gothenburg-based side on a free transfer following her departure from FC Rosengård, where she spent three seasons competing at the highest level of Swedish football.
Ayinde brings a wealth of experience to BK Häcken, having previously featured for FC Minsk in Belarus and Swedish clubs Asarums IF FK and Eskilstuna United DFF. Her versatility, tactical awareness and leadership in midfield are expected to add depth and stability to the reigning champions’ squad.
With BK Häcken aiming to successfully defend their Damallsvenskan title and make an impact in Europe, Ayinde is expected to play a key role in their ambitions. The move also offers the Nigerian international an opportunity to continue competing for major honours while further strengthening her profile in European football.
Ayinde remains an important figure in the Super Falcons setup, and her switch to BK Häcken keeps her at a high competitive level ahead of upcoming international assignments.
