“He still needs time” – Sean Dyche provides injury update on Ola Aina

By Wale Mustapha

Nottingham Forest head coach Sean Dyche has provided an update on Nigerian defender Ola Aina, who has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during international duty with Nigeria in September.

The Super Eagles full-back has missed Forest’s last 14 matches across all competitions, including Premier League and Europa League fixtures.

Although Aina was recently pictured training, Dyche warned that a gradual approach is necessary for his return.

“Ola Aina is not on the grass with us yet, he’s still going to take a bit of time,” Dyche said Thursday following Forest’s Europa League win over Malmo.

“We’ve missed him for quite a while and he will be handled carefully for us not to lose him again.”

Nottingham Forest will turn their attention back to the Premier League this weekend as they prepare to face Brighton.
