Heartland FC are turning to divine intervention ahead of their crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 31 clash against Sunshine Stars.
The Naze Millionaires have struggled in recent weeks, going winless in their last five matches.
A 1-0 home defeat to Abia Warriors last weekend saw Emmanuel Amuneke’s side drop into the relegation zone, intensifying the pressure ahead of their upcoming fixture.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, Heartland expressed hope for divine support.
“We pray for the sun to shine brightly on us at the abode of Sunshine Stars.”
The clash will take place at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Wednesday, with Heartland aiming to secure a vital three points in their fight against relegation.
