By Monsurah Olatunji

Former Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala has urged Rio Ferdinand to push for Manchester United to sign heroic Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
The Nigerian safe hands who currently plays his club football with South African side, Chippa United saved two penalties in the shootout against the Bafana Bafana to qualify Super Eagles for the final.
The 27-year-old conceded for the first time in four matches but delivered and won the Man of the Match award for his impressive display.
Following the win, former United centre-back Rio Ferdinand reacted on X with a picture of him holding a Super Eagles kit to celebrate with Nigerians.
Agba Baller as fondly called however did not miss the opportunity to push for a deal for her country man urging the club legend to make it happen.
“Baba you dey see @NwabaliBobo?” Oshoala posted under Ferdinand’s post on X. “Help us run am Asapuuuuu,” she added.
Manchester United just signed Cameroon number one Andre Onana during the summer transfer to replace David De Gea.
Many fans of the Red Devils are however unsure of Onana, who has endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford and his future is uncertain under the new ownership structure at the club.
On the other hand, Oshoala who recently moved to American club side Bay FC, believes Nwabali’s exploits prove he deserves a high-profile transfer to Old Trafford.
